From skiing/riding, snowmobile rides and cross-country skiing in the winter to guided climbing, mountain biking, and activities at the Adventure Center in the summer, there’s something for everyone each season at Mammoth.
In the winter, enjoy some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country. Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is a large ski resort in the western United States, located in eastern California along the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in the Inyo National Forest. Mammoth has more than 3,500 acres of ski-able terrain, serviced by 28 lifts.
In addition to hitting the slopes, these are some of the other activities that you can enjoy.
Scenic gondola rides. Take an aerial ride up to Mammoth’s summit at 11,053 ft to take in all the views and explore all the fun at the top.
Cross-country skiing. Explore the scenic Lakes Basin on Nordic skis or snowshoes for a family adventure or some butt-kicking fun.
Woolly’s Tube Park. Skip the hiking, catch a lift to the top, then bomb down as fast as you dare in one of our high-speed snow tubes.
Snowmobile adventures. Mellow cruisers and hard chargers alike will find big fun exploring tree-lined trails and massive meadows on a guided excursion.

Mammoth bike park. With some of the most radical terrain in the country, 80+ miles of singletrack, and a vast beginner zone for newbies, this is the premier lift-served bike park in the U.S.
Adventure center. Located at Main Lodge, the Mammoth Adventure Center is your portal to the best family fun and outdoor activities in the region.
Scenic gondola rides. Take an aerial ride up Mammoth Mountain to explore all the fun at 11,053 ft. At the top, snap a selfie at the summit sign, enjoy lunch, and visit the interpretive center.
Via ferrata. Challenge yourself with a guided climbing excursion on the rugged cliffs of Mammoth Mountain. No experience necessary.
Golf at Sierra Star. Pristine lakes, emerald fairways and stunning mountain views – tee off surrounded by beauty at California’s highest golf course.
